Convert Hard water to Softwater

Bangalore is though to have a good underground water quality but recently the scenario has changed. The hosur road water TDS(Total dissolved solids is > 800 and Banerughatta road TDS > 300 and Marathalli > 500 and the average in vijayanagar is > 400 and hence there is definetly a need for Water Softener for house and apartments.

Water Softener are units which converts the input bore / municipal water to soft water. There are two types of units

1) Conventional Water Softeners :

The calcium and magnesium are replaced my Sodium and hence the pipes and fixtures are free of scales formation and for use we get a soft water which is chemically treated. Untill recently people have been using these type of water softener. These unit needs continuos manitenance like regeneration every few days with many Kilograms of salt and because of its heavy maintenance work people have started to abandon these units. Also these units are environment damaging because of waste water it is generating and also high in sodium water is not good for Blood pressure patients.

2) Nano technology Water softener :

These are Water softener which crystalizes the minerals and also removes the existing scales from the pipes and fixtures and non corrsive units. These are units used widley in U.S and now starting to catch up in India. Blorebuy is currently one of pioneers in manufacturing these type of units.

Blorebuy also caters to Domestic and industrial drinking water units, any size can be manufactured based on the requirement.

Water Treatment

Water being the Elixer of life is becoming less available day by day. It is estimated that by 2025 half of the world population would be vulnerable to Water borne diseases because of water scarcity. Currently approximately 70% of fresh water is consumed by agriculture and rest 30 % is being utilized for normal use. These satistics give a gloomy look for the Water Availability for the Industry.

Water in morden day can be clearly classified into following:

1) Hard Water - high amount of Calcium and Magnesium, affects pipes and fixtures.
2) Soft Water - Low in Calcium and magnesium and used for general purpose
3) Effluent Water - Water water from industries
4) Sewage Water
5) Rain Water
6) Potable Water - Suitable for drinking
7) SEA Water

Many Technologies are available to handle any of above types of water to make it potable for general consumption.

1) Characteristics of Drinking Water:

Should have the necessary minerals as per the WHO standard.
Should NOT have any Bacteria's like Cryptosporidium, giardia, E-coli.
Should not have huge amount of Salts like Sodium / Calcium / Magnesium.
TDS - Total Dissolved solids to be less than 100 ideal (200 good enough).

2) Characteristics of Bathing Water / General purpose except drinking :

Should not be very hard (Calicum or magnesium)- not more than 500 tds
Should not have high Chlorine - not more than 2ppm of residual chlorine
Should not have hazadous chemicals.

3) Charactersitics of Effluent Water:

Effluent water which is normally disposed off to the environment should be treated for its hazardous chemicals. The effluent should use Government Water disposal standards.
